The Alumni and Development Communications team helps you with tools to tell stories, build relationships, strengthen connections, and inspire giving.
We work with units across campus to oversee timing and sending of mass emails to external audiences, ensuring that messages don't overlap and to maximize the effect of your messages.
We work closely with the UO Alumni Association to fulfill its mission, making the UO stronger by fostering lifelong, mutually beneficial relationships between the university, its alumni association members, and nearly 200,000 Duck alumni worldwide. We tell the stories of alumni of every generation who are making a difference in the world, and illuminate opportunities for friendship, careers, advocacy, and service.
With more than 60 years of collective fundraising communications experience, the members of our Development Communications team can provide strategic and technical expertise in the creation of funding campaigns or individual projects, with a special focus on major gifts. We work with our partners in Marketing Communications to produce case statements, personalized giving proposals, impact and donor recognition stories, brochures, white papers, videos, websites, social media, newsletters, email campaigns, and more.
Our publications group produces Oregon Quarterly, the university’s flagship magazine. Winner of many national awards, the magazine and its robust website focus on the university’s connections to issues of state, regional and national interest. We reach a broad, well-educated audience, primarily in the Northwest, with many opportunities for advertisers. In addition, we offer copywriting, editing, and proofreading services to all UO units, schools, and colleges.
Alumni and Development Communications provides the UO’s advancement teams with targeted print and digital publications including Inside Oregon, Global Ducks, Focus, Quick Facts, and the giving.uoregon.edu website.
