Marketing and Brand Strategy

The Marketing Communications team is a gifted collection of creative professionals striving to serve the University of Oregon’s priorities of access, excellence, diversity, and experience. We partner with the campus community to create, drive, and design marketing communications efforts that support the University of Oregon’s priorities. We collaborate across campus to serve the university’s efforts in photo, video, design, and print.

Photo and Video Services

With four full-time photographers/videographers, Marketing Communications can meet many of the photographic and video needs on campus. The team provides creative direction for photo and video production to support UO colleges, departments, and initiatives.

Our style tells our story and spotlights the people and places that make the University of Oregon great. It exemplifies what it means to be a Duck: irreverent, progressive, extraordinary, alive, natural, and inclusive.

Design Services

The Marketing Communications’ graphic design team primarily serves schools, colleges and administrative units with dedicated communications staff. Typically, projects are strategically aligned with the priorities of the university and might be focused on recruitment; student support; development; intended to advance the university’s reputation in research, scholarship, and creative inquiry; or mandated by legal requirements.

Our team designs engaging, efficient, effective, and brand-aligned communications. We will ensure that your publication reflects the diversity of people, programs, and experiences the university offers.

User Experience

If the web is the university's digital front door, then a user-centered approach defines how we treat our guests. The Marketing Communications team follows a user-centered design process that seeks to engage end-users in all stages of design and development. The UO-branded elements are designed to provide maximum utility for various audiences visiting university websites while maintaining a consistent experience across sites.
