Marketing and Brand Strategy

The Marketing and Brand Strategy team at the University of Oregon plays a pivotal role in enhancing the institution's visibility, reputation, and engagement with its various audiences. Our team focuses on brand management, creative media production, and producing the university alumni magazine and reports. The team manages the KWAX classical radio station, social media, trademark and licensing program, and more. The team also works to partner with the campus community to create, drive, and design marketing strategy and brand activations to support the University of Oregon’s priorities.

Communications Academy

Communications Academy is University Communications' official student employment program. It offers a range of student positions to provide UO students with opportunities to build a wide skill set and prepare for successful careers.

Creative Media 

The Marketing and Brand Strategy creative media team serves the University of Oregon with broad campaigns to elevate the reputation of the University of Oregon. The team occasionally does work to support schools and colleges or administrative units with full-time communicators. Typically projects are strategically aligned with the priorities of the university.

Our team designs engaging, efficient, effective and brand-aligned communications.


Social Media

The social media team keeps Ducks around the globe connected to the university and brings the community together around the mission of the institution. The team establishes and manages campus guidelines and polices for social media for the entire campus. 


Trademark Licensing

Our Trademark Licensing team protects the integrity of all University of Oregon branding—including names, trademarks, and symbols—both on and off campus.
