Internal and Executive Communications

The Internal and Executive Communications team works to provide news and information to faculty and staff through a variety of university communication channels. We work closely with other University Communications departments to:

  • Support understanding of the university’s mission, initiatives, and aspirations
  • Foster employee engagement
  • Promote a sense of unity while respecting differences
  • Ensure employees are equipped with the tools and information necessary to work effectively

Around the O—Workplace

Around the O is the UO’s official online news site. Internal communications provides editorial oversight of the workplace section on Around the O, providing news and information that faculty and staff need to be successful at their jobs, stay informed about initiatives and policies, and understand what is happening on campus. Faculty and staff can submit a story idea for Around the O—Workplace.

Around the O—Workplace Email

Every Tuesday, the Around the O—Workplace email is sent to all faculty and staff. This official e-newsletter for the university provides the top workplace stories from Around the O each week. Faculty and staff can submit a request to have information included in the weekly email by submitting a story idea for Around the O—Workplace.

Academic & Administrative Leadership List

The Academic and Administrative Leadership List (AALList) is a moderated listserv for distributing messages related to the administration and management of academic, research, and administrative units. It is designed to be a form of direct communication to academic and administrative leadership, not as a way to pass information on to the entire campus. Learn more about the Academic & Administrative Leadership List, or send inquiries to Jennifer Winters at jwinters@uoregon.edu.
