Guidelines on how custom type treatments can be used has been added to the Secondary Logos section of the Oregon Brand Guide. The guideline states that custom type treatments of departmental names must be reviewed and approved by Marketing and Brand Strategy (MBS). If approved, the type treatment can be used on one piece of merchandise and must be accompanied by the department’s secondary signature somewhere visible on that product. Do not use the type treatment beyond what MBS approves. When using it in multiple applications, the custom type treatment becomes another logo or word mark, which is not permitted. This applies to departmental events as well.
