Advertising

Advertising with outside agencies that exceeds $10,000 annually or needs to utilize the University of Oregon's main social channels needs to be coordinated and approved by the UO Marketing and Brand Strategy team. The team will review the campaign strategy, ensure the executions are not in conflict with other UO advertising or messaging, and approve final art for brand standards. If you would like our team to consult prior to or while you are developing a campaign strategy, please contact us at uobrand@uoregon.edu. We would be happy to schedule a time to discuss and provide templates, tools, or useful resources.

Website Advertisements

Any University of Oregon website with a .edu extension is not permitted to advertise for outside businesses by displaying logos or otherwise endorsing a product or service. The university has a non-profit status as an educational agency which disqualifies us from selling space on our websites or otherwise promoting a sponsor or business. If you have an approved event sponsor, you may list the name of the business or organization and link to their website but you may not use their logo. To learn more about the policies governing the commercial use of the university's computing resources you can review the Acceptable Use of Computing Resources Policy.

Commercial and Charitable Solicitations

The University of Oregon has policies that provide guidelines for solicitations on campus. The guidelines include what is and is not permissible, and processes for being permitted to solicit on campus. Review the policy for complete details.

Cobranding and Sponsorships

If you are planning to co-brand or sponsor an event or program, please see our guidance on sponsorship and cobranding. Assets are available in our Brand Library for download.
